About Naturum

A nature center is a hub for visitors to a natural area. Here, you can learn more about the animals, plants, geology, and cultural history that have shaped the place before venturing out to explore nature yourself. In addition to exhibitions, many nature centers also offer guided tours, themed evenings, and nature trails. Moreover, they provide tips on excursion destinations and hikes. To ensure that the nature centers meet visitors’ expectations, the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency has quality-assured them. Naturum Värmland is one of the 30 nature centers that has earned the continued trust of the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency.

In total, Sweden’s nature centers have had over 1.1 million visitors in the past year. Visitors have had the opportunity to participate in over 4,000 different activities. Over 1,000 school classes have visited a nature center as part of their education.

Naturum Värmland has over 100,000 visitors per year. Here, they organize treasure hunts, nature walks, scavenger hunts, and theme days such as apple days, geology day, and wildflower day. They offer school programs and guided tours, and if the exhibition space Skogsstjärnan is available, you can book it for meetings.
