HISTORY, MUSIC AND DRAMA
The open-air museum in Mariebergsskogen displays many buildings showing life in Värmland as it once was. On board the Conrad Höök sightseeing train, passengers enjoy a guided tour along the many tracks and paths, seeing every facet of the park - the natural beauty, the historic buildings and Lillskogen children's zoo, with its Swedish farm animals.
Every year Mariebergsskogen welcomes hundreds of thousands of visitors celebrating the Swedish festivals. We celebrate Walpurgis Nigth dancing around a leafy Midsummer pole, along with folk musicians and folk dancers in full costume.
In the summer, the open-air theatre from 1943 puts on everything from major concerts to popular children's theatre. The traditional mixes with the new on various themed days. You can also play in the playgrounds, jump round in the hay, pet the animals, enjoy good food, dance to live bands or simply wander around at will. |
